Departures, arrivals, pineapples

May is the type of month where it’s got one foot in dry season and the other in wet season. A combination of too much sun and some rain during early mornings. Mostly cloudy now. The sun is rarely in full view but the heat is still annoying. Bring on the rainy days, my body and soul are ready.

On being in transit:
I spent so many hours on a plane and on a car this month. The feeling of being in between places is growing on me. On one of the long trips I was thinking about:

Saturation in color, emotions, music:
There was an overlapping venn diagram in my mind and I thought I needed to write it down somewhere and it’s a couple of weeks now so I’m trying to remember what exactly was it. There is a thread in these ideas. Saturation is easily expressed in colors. It means the intensity of the hue or the pureness of color. In a way emotions or feelings can also be intense and can be represented by intense colors. Music can also embody intense feelings (violin concerto is quite intense) so I think about that scale of intensity in saturation.
I guess I was just amused by the idea of saturation and how it’s expressed in the form of color, emotions, and music. Just like I have a thing for the idea of contrast.

On darkness:
It’s an underrated experience to go outside nature as far as possible from the city and experience darkness. I feel like my capacity to experience beauty has been expanded. I didn’t get the bioluminescent algae though. Better luck next time.
